Maybe you've been waiting for a nudge, a hint from the universe, or some validation that it's okay to make a bold move. Well, consider this blog post your green light—your cosmic yes! As millennial women especially, we often feel like we’re stuck between the pressures of tradition and the excitement of uncharted territory. We’ve followed the rules, chased stability, and still—something feels off.
It is because there is. It's not just a feeling. Something IS really off: there is a disconnection to the honest, authentic life you really want and how you are living now. Square peg, round hole, baby. Trying to make that work is exhausting and soul sucking. So, feeling better and more aligned happens when you make the aligned choice, which may be wildly different from what you are doing.
And choosing the change, deviating from the norm is scary as hell. Although it may seem like a risk, it is more of a risk to stay stuck in a life that is unfulfilling for the next year, ten, fifty...
The truth is, the life you want is on the other side of a risk.
But how do we embrace that risk?

Fear of failure, judgement from others, and the unknown can be overwhelming. You might ask yourself: "What if I leap and fall? What if I make the wrong choice?" But here's the thing—what if you don’t? What if this is the very risk that sets you free?
If you’re here, it means something inside you is stirring. That quiet voice saying, “What if I did it?” needs to be louder.
Here are three ways to silence your inner doubt and step into the change you've been craving.
Reframe Failure: It’s Part of the Journey, Not the End

We’re so conditioned to think that failure is the end of the road. But in reality, failure is a launchpad. The only real failure is inaction. When you take risks, it’s not about winning or losing—it’s about learning. Ask yourself: If I take this leap and fall flat, what will I gain from the experience? What new skills, connections, or self-awareness will I walk away with?
Think about some of the greatest successes. They came from failures. Oprah was told she wasn’t cut out for TV. JK Rowling’s Harry Potter was rejected 12 times, yes I know she is canceled now, but still a valid example relax. We only know their stories now because they kept going. So, go ahead, bet on yourself.

You Don’t Need a Perfect Plan
Newsflash: Life doesn’t come with guarantees or step-by-step guides. Yet, many of us get stuck in the cycle of

perfectionism, waiting for the ‘perfect time’ or the ‘perfect plan.’ But you know what? Perfect doesn’t exist. What exists is momentum, and that only comes from action.
Ask yourself: What’s the smallest step I can take today that moves me closer to that dream, job, or lifestyle change? Start messy, start scared—just start. Done is better than perfect.

3. Surround Yourself with Energy-Matchers
Your inner circle plays a huge role in how you perceive risk. Are the people around you uplifting your spirit, or are they planting seeds of doubt? You need people in your life who aren’t afraid to challenge you to dream bigger.
If you’ve been around friends or family that make you second-guess your decisions, it’s time to widen your circle. Find communities—whether online or in-person—who get it. People who push boundaries, take risks, and live authentically. When you’re surrounded by others on similar paths, you’ll feel more confident to take your own leaps.

Your Life Is Yours to Create
At the end of the day, no one else is living your life—only you. The risks you take now will shape the story you tell later. So why not make it a good one? What’s the story you want to tell in five, ten, or twenty years? That you played it safe, or that you jumped into the unknown with all the courage you could muster?
Trust yourself. You have survived all the challenges that brought you to this point, and there’s no reason why you can’t thrive in whatever comes next.
So, here’s your sign: Take that risk. Your future self will thank you.
