I can’t be the only one who’s found herself in a position that leaves her feeling exploited, used, and undervalued, then forced to ask, how the hell did I get here...again? And more importantly, how do I assert myself now, when I’ve allowed it to go on this long? Maybe we do this in friendships, with family or at the office. When we don't assert our value and our worth, we can unknowingly end up giving it away.
Sometimes, we may not even realize it until it is too late and the contracts are signed, the plan is rolled out, when we are boarding a airplane across the country, again, or when we, unfortunately, watch someone else reap in the benefits of our labors. Cue visual: Scrooge McDuck swimming in his money while you pan handle at a bus station, suckah.
