I turned 39.

I turn 39, yep you read that correctly: THIRTY NINE on July 24th, 2020.

Wisdom comes from experience and choosing to find the opportunity in every experience in your journey. They aren’t always pretty or obvious. It’s up to us to carve out meaning to guide us and keep us in alignment with our greatest most authentic self.⠀

A few lessons I’ve gathered in 39 years:⠀

1. Everything just IS, not good nor bad just what meaning we assign to it. Nothing is done to you, just a matter of what you react to. We can rewrite our narrative once we become aware of it and we heal. ⠀

2.Let the universe be. We don’t own it. We aren’t to control it. We are given the gift of existing IN it. Just BE human.⠀

3. Wanting more because you don’t have enough will never have a limit. Acting from a place of ego, scarcity and a wounded child will cost opportunity, integrity and alignment. Gratitude first, always.⠀

4.Going through the motions without intention will leave you constantly in turbulence, searching for grounding. I called my dad and I talked quickly to check in, not to connect, rushing to get off the phone to go to work, to hustle. He died suddenly less than 24 hours later. Luckily the last thing I ever said to him was “I love you”⠀

5. SLOW. THE. FUCK. DOWN. All we have is THIS MOMENT. And we may never get another one; I surely didn’t. I will never get another moment in this life and this dimension to connect w my dad. Call your parents and pay attention. Connect. Make it meaningful. One day you won’t be able to and it is a soul crushing pain you will carry every single fucking day.⠀

So much life! In my experience, growth hasn’t been pretty or easy or even welcomed. Here’s my truth to do what you wish!⠀

Take a few minutes today to be grateful and call your parents.⠀

Just trust me on this. ⠀⠀⠀

Celebrate this moment!!⠀
